FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 23, 2021
Atlanta, GA — The cities of Atlanta and Savannah have teamed up to run concurrent Solarize campaigns for 2021-2022.
Solarize programs are community-based group-purchasing initiatives for solar energy, battery storage, and other clean-energy technologies. Such programs help homeowners, businesses, and nonprofits become more resilient, reduce energy expenses, and save on the cost of renewable-energy systems by obtaining volume discounts on materials and installation services. Solarize campaigns are driven by community group purchasing. The more participants who enroll, the greater the savings for all.

The following is a deeper dive on the special features available only through Solarize Decatur-DeKalb. Campaign organizers sought competitive bids from the solar community outlining things we are looking for in a great campaign. Yes, were we looking for the best quality materials at the lowest price, but that's not all. We were also looking for things like fast Installation times, great warranties, additional clean energy technologies, and exclusive extras to name a few. Other bidding contractors were able to offer one or some of these features but only one company, Summit Solar, is able offer all of these features and help make this the best Solarize program possible. Thus, we are proud to offer the following special features of the Solarize Decatur-DeKalb campaign.
