Solarize KC, a unique community-led program that makes solar energy and battery storage more affordable to local participants through group purchasing, has gained further momentum this summer, reaching its 6th of 8 progressively lower price tiers.

Solarize KC offers an opportunity to install solar energy infrastructure at your home or business at discount prices achievable through bulk buying along with others in Kansas City. The more purchases that occur, the lower the total price of an installed renewable energy system for each buyer.

OKLAHOMA CITY — In only its third month, the Solarize OKC Campaign has reached two more key milestones: achieving more than half a megawatt of renewable power and avoidance of more than 1 million pounds of carbon annually.

The campaign – a community group-purchasing program – seeks to help local homes and businesses save more than ever through the combined buying power of other OKC residents and access to a federal tax credit for solar energy.

Durham, NC – The Triangle Sustainability Partnership, a newly formed local government partnership of 11 communities, will publicly launch its regionwide community-based group-buying program - Solarize the Triangle - on Aug. 10. Residents and businesses will be able to save on the ordinary cost of solar energy and battery power through the program’s combined purchasing with others across the Triangle and through the availability of a federal tax credit.
