Durham, NC – The Triangle Sustainability Partnership, a newly formed local government partnership of 11 communities, will publicly launch its regionwide community-based group-buying program - Solarize the Triangle - on Aug. 10. Residents and businesses will be able to save on the ordinary cost of solar energy and battery power through the program’s combined purchasing with others across the Triangle and through the availability of a federal tax credit.

Solarize the Triangle to Bring Affordable, Renewable Energy  to the Community Via Group-Purchase Campaign; Seeks Solar Contractor Bids

A newly formed local government partnership, the Triangle Sustainability Partnership, is seeking bids from solar contractors for a regional, regionwide community-based group-purchasing program launching this summer to provide clean-energy options to local residents, businesses and non-profit organizations in 11 Triangle communities.

The Triangle Sustainability Partnership has issued a Request for Proposals to welcome area solar-energy design and installation companies to participate in the Solarize the Triangle program. The deadline for bidders to respond is July 15. The full Request for Proposals document is available here.
