Georgia Solarize Programs May be the Best Deal on Solar for a While

Solar costs are going up but Solarize group purchase pricing is NOT

There are plenty of articles out there confirming what we are already seeing around the solar industry -- the cost of solar is going up. Supply chain constraints and increasing raw materials costs are impacting many sectors of the economy -- and solar is no exception.

While the cost of solar is going up, Solarize Atlanta 2.0 and Solarize Savannah pricing is not. One of the features of a Solarize program is predetermined pricing that participants can count on when making decisions. When Creative Solar USA won the bid to become the exclusive installation partner for both campaigns this spring, they secured the necessary equipment at set prices for the duration of the campaign. So even though costs are going up all around us, the Solarize low group purchase pricing has remained the same and will do so until the end of the contract deadline on December 31st

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE           March 23, 2021

Atlanta, GA — The cities of Atlanta and Savannah have teamed up to run concurrent Solarize campaigns for 2021-2022.

Solarize programs are community-based group-purchasing initiatives for solar energy, battery storage, and other clean-energy technologies. Such programs help homeowners, businesses, and nonprofits become more resilient, reduce energy expenses, and save on the cost of renewable-energy systems by obtaining volume discounts on materials and installation services. Solarize campaigns are driven by community group purchasing. The more participants who enroll, the greater the savings for all.

The following is a deeper dive on the special features available only through Solarize Decatur-DeKalb. Campaign organizers sought competitive bids from the solar community outlining things we are looking for in a great campaign. Yes, were we looking for the best quality materials at the lowest price, but that's not all. We were also looking for things like fast Installation times, great warranties, additional clean energy technologies, and exclusive extras to name a few.  Other bidding contractors were able to offer one or some of these features but only one company, Summit Solar, is able offer all of these features and help make this the best Solarize program possible. Thus, we are proud to offer the following special features of the Solarize Decatur-DeKalb campaign.

Solarize Decatur-DeKalb Kicks-off

Posted by: Don Moreland

Solarize Decatur-DeKalb officially launched, virtual site visits are underway, and the first contract is in the books!

On April 30th, over 70 people joined Decatur's Mayor Garrett and campaign organizers to kick-off the campaign in a socially distant way that is a sign of the times these days - a Zoom webinar. While not the same as a traditional Solarize launch event at a community center with fancy signage and crisp brochures, the webinar was a great success leading to almost 50 of your local friends and family signing up so far.
