TULSA — A newly formed coalition of local organizations is set to publicly launch Solarize Green Country, a unique community-based campaign that makes solar energy and battery storage more affordable for homeowners, businesses and nonprofits in Green Country.

Solarize Green Country offers an opportunity to install solar energy infrastructure at your home or business at discount prices achievable through bulk buying along with others in the eight-county region. The more purchasers, the lower the total price is reduced for an installed renewable energy system.

Solarize Gwinnett Solicits Bids From Solar Contractors to Offer Affordable Renewable Energy Locally Via Group Purchasing

LAWRENCEVILLE — A newly formed local renewable energy coalition is seeking competitive bids from solar contractors for a unique Gwinnett-focused campaign that seeks to make solar energy more affordable and easier to buy for homeowners, businesses and nonprofits in the county.

Solarize Gwinnett has issued a request for proposals from area solar-energy design and installation companies for its 2023 group-purchasing program. The deadline for bidders to respond is April 1, 2023, at 5 p.m. ET. The request for proposal document and related information is available here.

Solarize808 Seeks Bids From Solar Contractors to Help Make Renewable Energy More Affordable to the Community Via Unique Group-Buying Program

HONOLULU — A newly formed initiative is currently seeking bids from solar contractors for a community campaign that seeks to make solar energy more affordable for homeowners, businesses and nonprofits on the island of O‘ahu.

Solarize808 issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) from area solar-energy design and installation companies for the group-purchasing program it’s launching later this Spring. The deadline for bidders to respond is Feb. 23. The RFP document is available here.

Solarize 808 is a community-based group-purchasing program for solar energy, battery storage and other clean-energy technologies. Once launched, the campaign will help homeowners, businesses and nonprofits become more resilient, reduce energy expenses, and save on the cost of renewable-energy systems by obtaining volume discounts on materials and installation services. Solarize campaigns involve the power of community group purchasing. The more individual property owners who enroll and contract for an energy system, the greater the savings for all.

The regionwide community-based group-buying program known as Solarize the Triangle has rapidly reached its 3rd price tier based on early commitments from property owners in the Triangle region to purchase new renewable energy systems for their homes. 

The Triangle Sustainability Partnership, a recently formed local government partnership of 11 communities, forged the program to enable residents and businesses to save on the ordinary cost of solar energy and battery power through combined purchasing with others across the Triangle plus the availability of a federal tax credit.

Free Signup Deadline is Oct. 31; Coalition Also Advances New Income-Qualified Program

Oct. 31 is the deadline for local residents and commercial building owners to enroll for a free evaluation under the Solarize Kansas City campaign, which offers group purchasing on solar energy and battery storage to all Kansas City-metro area residents and businesses.

Since May, more than 575 residents have enrolled for an evaluation to advance toward potentially owning a system through this community discount program.

Federal Tax Incentives, Financing Topics of Free Sept. 21 Virtual Workshop

Solarize Kansas City, the time-limited community-led program that makes solar energy and battery storage more affordable, is helping local property owners this month receive more information about renewable energy costs.

The campaign – based upon a unique community group-purchasing model – recently reached its eighth and final progressively lower-price tier since its launch earlier this year. In addition, the newly passed Inflation Reduction Act means that federal tax credits have increased to 30 percent in savings for newly installed solar energy systems and batteries.
